WHOS Gunyah is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person for a full time AOD Community Service Worker role in our Men’s Program, Gunyah, based at Lilyfield NSW.

Through this role you will be able to provide:

  1. assessment, referral, and education,
  2. supervision and support to clients in a residential setting,
  3. a structured daily program,
  4. therapeutic interventions

TO BE CONSIDERED APPLICANTS MUST RESPOND TO AND MEET THE FOLLOWING SELECTION CRITERIA:

  1. Certificate IV or higher in AOD, Community Services, Mental Health or related field.
  2. Ability to work with clients that have AOD and associated conditions.
  3. Knowledge of the AOD sector,
  4. Work a rotating roster inclusive of day, evening and weekend shifts.
  5. Ability to facilitate groups.
  6. Ability to work within a residential treatment service.
  7. Understanding of harm minimisation strategies.
  8. Unrestricted driving license

Remuneration

  • Remuneration is in accordance with the SCHADSI Award.
  • Salary packaging is available.
