Program Facilitator - Financial Wellbeing - Melbourne / Sydney

White Box Enterprises

About Us

White Box is building a world where anyone who wants a job, can access one. To do this, we're on a mission to mainstream jobs-focused social enterprise.

Everything we do revolves around these 3 priorities. We:

  1. Build large-scale social enterprises from the ground up;

  2. Strengthen existing jobs-focused social enterprises to scale and grow; and

  3. Innovate by leading advocacy and systems change initiatives to grow the sector.

Since we started, we've helped enable over 1000 jobs, incubated four social enterprises, raised $52M in blended finance for job creation projects, and built a powerful coalition of partners across sectors.

Our Financial Wellbeing Program is the first on this topic that's been created specifically for and with job-focused social enterprises. The program is a valuable addition to the vital wraparound supports already embedded in social enterprise support models. After a successful 3-year pilot involving 16 social enterprises and 275 participants, funding has been approved to extend the program for up to a further 3 years.

We now need extra hands to do this special work - up to 1FTE in Melbourne, and 0.5FTE in Sydney. The role is initially for a 2-year term, with potential to extend to a 3rd year.

The role

We are seeking a Program Facilitator – Financial Wellbeing to deliver tailored financial wellbeing workshops with social enterprise employees and support staff participating in the program.

This is a facilitation‑focused role, working directly with participants in jobs‑focused social enterprise environments. You will deliver workshops, adapt content to suit different cohorts and workplaces, and work closely with partner organisations to ensure delivery is practical, relevant and aligned with their operational context.

Delivery is primarily face‑to‑face, with some virtual delivery where required, and may include both train‑the‑trainer delivery with support staff and direct delivery to employee cohorts. You'll be travelling to where there is need across the state, with some interstate travel for team collaboration or where your help might be needed.

The role is offered on an initial 2-year fixed‑term contract (with possibility of a 1-year extension), aligned to program funding. This is a part-time opportunity (0.5FTE) so would suit people balancing a meaningful job with other aspects of life.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate financial wellbeing workshops with employees and support staff
  • Adapt content and facilitation approaches to suit different settings, cohorts and levels of financial confidence
  • Create respectful, supportive learning environments, including for participants experiencing financial stress or disadvantage
  • Work in partnership with social enterprises to plan and deliver workshops
  • Deliver the program to agreed schedules and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to program feedback and learning

The best person for the role will identify with the following:

  • Experience working in community, NFP, social enterprise, education or employment‑focused settings
  • An ability to tailor content for participants with varied backgrounds and levels of financial confidence
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Confidence working independently while staying aligned to program requirements

Experience in financial wellbeing or financial capability education is highly regarded, as is experience working with people experiencing disadvantage.
