Through Civik People, we connect people with complex barriers to work and those new to Australia to sustainable, meaningful employment. Civik People is part of White Box, where we’re working toward a world where everyone who wants a job can access one.

We’re looking for a People & Pathways Coordinator to help make that happen for a 12-month contract to complete two programs - Economic Pathways to Refugee Integration (EPRI) Program funded by the Department of Home Affairs and WorkFoundations funded by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.

About the role

This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role working across participants, employers and community partners.

You’ll build trusted relationships with employers, understand their hiring needs and identify opportunities early. You’ll connect people to roles where they can genuinely succeed, not just roles that are available. Alongside this, you’ll work closely with participants to understand their strengths and goals, support them through applications and interviews, and guide them through onboarding into a new role.

You’ll stay connected beyond placement, supporting both the employee and employer through the early months to ensure things are on track. When challenges come up, you’ll step in early and work collaboratively to find practical solutions.

You’ll also maintain strong community partnerships, build talent pipelines and contribute to a program focused on delivering quality, long-term employment outcomes.

About you

You thrive on achieving meaningful outcomes for participants, and you know how to turn potential into opportunity.

You bring experience in employment, recruitment, community development or a similar field, and you’re confident building relationships with a wide range of people. You communicate clearly, build trust quickly and take a thoughtful approach to matching people with the right opportunities.

You are self-motivated, practical and organised, able to work independently and manage competing priorities while staying focused on outcomes. You’re comfortable supporting people through the full journey into employment, from the first conversation through to settling into a new role.

You adapt your approach to suit different needs, backgrounds and levels of confidence. You bring a respectful, strengths-based mindset, along with an understanding of the barriers people, particularly women and those from refugee and culturally diverse backgrounds, can face when accessing work.
