Risk and Compliance Coordinator

About The Role

This newly created role will be responsible for:

  • Embedding the Wayss frameworks for compliance and risk management
  • Undertaking risk assessments and monitoring the progress of any control improvements
  • Compliance breach management, escalation and reporting
  • Managing Wayss compliance with privacy obligations and supporting the continuous improvement of Wayss records and information management systems
  • Assisting with the development of an organisation wide quality assurance framework
  • Coordinating a review of internal processes and procedures to underpin a revitalised policy framework
  • Supporting the Manager, Quality, Risk and Compliance to develop a continuous improvement process, primarily informed by ongoing analysis of stakeholder feedback and complaints, risk assessments, compliance breaches and OHS incidents.

About You

You will have

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or other appropriate post graduate qualifications
  • Knowledge of the family violence and housing services system, including relevant government policy reforms and initiatives
  • 3-4 years in delivering risk and compliance services, within a whole of organisation context.
  • An understanding of continuous improvement frameworks
  • A solid understanding of compliance management
  • Experience in project management in a community services setting, including planning, development and delivery of projects, and development of training activities and materials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Highly developed management and organisational skills; demonstrated capacity to manage projects to tight timelines, defined budgets and within acceptable risk tolerances
  • Experience with complaints management would be desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to improving service delivery and practice
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently

This role requires a current Driver’s Licence and valid ‘Employment’ category - Working with Children Check Card. The candidate will need to have successfully completed Wayss pre-employment screening and a police check.
