The National Redress Scheme, a critical outcome of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, serves as a vital avenue for seeking justice and healing for survivors of institutional child sexual abuse.
WASH House Redress Support Service is designed to build awareness, and facilitate better access to the National Redress Scheme for survivors. The program delivers free and confidential support services including practical and emotional support throughout the application process. These services include case management, counselling and connecting survivors to other agencies where appropriate.
This role is dedicated to providing psychological services to support survivors as they navigate the application process and make important decisions. The role is instrumental to building the capacity of survivors within the National Redress Scheme Framework and improving access to the scheme.
WASH House, is a long-standing community resource centre for women in the Blacktown LGA, proudly supporting our community for over 40 years. Our mission is to reduce the impacts of poverty, social inequality, and violence, while empowering women to lead safe, connected, and fulfilling lives.
We deliver a range of integrated services, including information and referral, case support and case management, therapeutic and skills-based group programs, advocacy, and community development initiatives.

Are you an experienced and motivated professional with a strong foundation in trauma-informed care and a commitment to social justice? We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic practitioner to join our team in delivering high-quality counselling and therapeutic services.
The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience in supporting women with complex needs, alongside strong skills in advocacy, referral, and service coordination. The role also requires the ability to build effective networks and facilitate group programs that are responsive to the needs of the community.
