The Salvation Army Australia's Family Violence Stream provides a wide range of services around the country to support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer refuge, children's and parenting services, counselling, support, men's programs, accommodation and advice to women and children who are experiencing, or who have experienced, family violence
The Support and Safety Hub, also known as The Orange Door (the Hub) provides support and assistance to women and children affected by Family Violence who are leaving violent and abusive relationships.
The Hub incorporates Family Violence and Child Wellbeing services and provide services for women, children, young people and older people experiencing family violence, and families in need of support with the care, wellbeing and development of children and young people. The Hub will also plan interventions for perpetrators that hold them to account, address the risk they pose and challenge their violence and abusive behaviour.
The Hub Practitioner in the Family Violence Intake Services require highly developed skills in engaging and responding to women and families experiencing Family Violence. Hub Practitioner's must be able to work collaboratively with clients to empower them to identify and achieve their goals, whilst maintaining clear boundaries relating to their role.
Clients are assisted using a strength-based, trauma informed approach to identify goals to empower them to work towards achieving positive outcomes.
Reporting to the Team Leader Support and Safety Hub, this position is based in Morwell, location may vary between Morwell, Morwell/Warragul.
This is a permanent full time position, 38 hours per week.
Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 6
