South Burnett Regional Corps is a community-focused church, partnering with the wider community to help transform one life at a time with the love of Jesus. This is achieved through our Sunday Service, Sunday School, Home League, Bible Studies and many more programs that we offer.
We have an amazing opportunity for a values-driven and dedicated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Engagement Worker, reporting to the Corps Officer. You will be supporting the Cherbourg community, mapping out referral and access pathways to healing, with an emphasis on mental health and suicide prevention through existing service providers and community groups.
Additionally, you will help coordinate and support the Queensland Division in planning and delivery of The Salvation Army Christmas Cheer program.
This is a 12-month fixed-term full-time position located at our South Burnett Region Corps. Salary and conditions are accordance with SCHADS Level 3 and hourly rate range is $34.04-$36.50.
The Salvation Army is subject to public health orders. You may be required to provide evidence of vaccine status dependent on requirements.
Applicants must be of Aboriginal Australian and/or Torres Strait Islander descent and identify as an Aboriginal Australian and/or Torres Strait Islander, and a local indigenous resident of Cherbourg.
