Cairns Sexual Assault Service is seeking compassionate, skilled, and trauma-informed Therapists to support adults and young people aged 12 years and over who have experienced sexual assault, sexual abuse, or harmful sexual behaviours. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a specialist service committed to recovery, dignity, safety, and community wellbeing.
Working within a highly supportive multidisciplinary environment, you will provide confidential counselling, crisis response, advocacy, psychoeducation, and therapeutic support to clients and their non-offending family members, carers, and support networks. You will contribute to a service grounded in evidence-based practice, cultural safety, and safeguarding principles, while helping strengthen pathways to healing for individuals and communities across Far North Queensland.
As a Therapist within CSAS, you will deliver trauma-informed therapeutic interventions through face-to-face, telephone, Teams, and outreach-based services. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies, and community stakeholders to ensure clients receive holistic and responsive support.
