Your new role

The Project Manager (Domestic & Family Violence Project) is responsible for developing a Certificate IV in Community Development with a focus on domestic and family violence. The course will be delivered to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who work in services supporting families impacted by domestic and family violence or who wish to work in the domestic and family violence sector.

This role works with the Academic Team and Course Steering Group and is responsible for:

• Convene a Course Steering Group
• Facilitate Course Steering Group to approve draft course structure
• Recruit and manage project staff (Instructional Designer, Content Developers & Subject Matter Experts)
• Create a detailed project plan
• Assess existing learning materials (including manuals, videos, policies & procedures)
• Research all agencies related to domestic and family violence (e.g. Police)
• Consult regularly with the Course Steering Group
• Conduct pre-delivery validation of all course materials
• Work with Instructional Designer and Digital Learning Officer to build the course in the SMS and LMS

Work with Instructional Designer to:

• develop learner manuals
• develop course content videos
• curate supplementary materials
• develop assessments

• Advanced project management skills
• Ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines
• Experience with development of nationally recognised training courses
• Clear and accurate written and verbal communication
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience
• Attention to detail
• High level of organisation
• Experience in managing others
• Ability to work with other team members
• Experience with trauma informed practice
• An interest in supporting issues related to domestic and family violence
