Tradeswomen Australia Foundation Group is a not for profit organisation representing two entities funded through sponsorship, grants, philanthropy, business and community contributions or services. Through TWAG Programs, participants are empowered to:

  • Develop skills, policies and procedures to manage and overcome poor workplace culture.
  • Employ and promote vacancies for women and girls
  • Access TWA mentoring and support services to employ and retain women in trades
  • Provide education, opportunities and pathways in trade for girls and women

TWAG consists of a small management team and full-time project staff, supported by volunteer teams and governed by an honorary board with committees.

The Opportunity

This newly created role will be responsible for providing confidential administrative support to a highly productive and organised Managing Director. Working in a fast-paced environment within an organisation that is rapidly evolving and growing nationally. You will be supported and encouraged to undertake professional development, with a flexible and friendly work environment.
With offices in Geelong, we welcome candidates who can combine working from our offices as well as working-from-home.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the delivery of the Strategic and Operational Plans as per work plan
  • Providing high-level clerical and administrative support
  • Preparing documents including reports, letters and presentations
  • Completing special projects as directed
  • Preparing board meeting documentation and reports
  • Taking notes and minutes of important meetings
  • Managing documents
  • Acting as the central point of contact and gatekeeper between me, my clients and other stakeholders (contractors and suppliers)
  • Screening and managing phone calls and emails
  • Handling requests and queries appropriately
  • Managing meeting and travel diaries
  • Coordinating and staging events, presentations, meetings, workshops, seminars and speeches
  • Preparing, writing, proofing and editing documentation including webpages, blog posts, PDFs and presentations
  • Scheduling personal tasks and activities
  • Maintaining CRM and assist in the collation of data

  • You must master web browsing, Internet (Google) search, social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and all other current technologies including smartphone apps and the cloud (Dropbox, Google Suite, etc.).
  • Excellent written skills in English
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Drivers Licence, WWCC and Police Check required
  • Tertiary education or work experience in relevant discipline
