About Together for Humanity
Together for Humanity (TFH) provides educational services for students, teachers, and school communities with the goal of increasing intercultural understanding via a range of experiential learning workshops, presentations and projects within school settings. We do this in collaboration with schools and other organisations to convene high quality cross-cultural and inter-faith learning experiences that fosters goodwill between people of different faiths and cultures.
Together for Humanity Foundation (TFH) is an inclusive educational organisation that works with school communities to foster intercultural understanding and help students learn how to deal with differences.
The role
This is a general volunteer intern role supporting the day-to-day work of TFH across communications, programs, events and administration.
Working closely with staff, volunteers, and external partners, you will contribute to a range of activities that support the delivery of TFH programs in schools and the wider community.
This role offers a broad introduction to working in a not-for-profit organisation, with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas.
The role can be aligned with current studies, and we are open to supporting internships that form part of a formal course or placement. This may include supervision, feedback, and sign-off requirements where needed, in collaboration with your institution.
Key responsibilities
Communications and Marketing
- Support the development of content for social media, newsletters and communications materials
- Assist with identifying relevant organisations, media outlets and networks to share TFH updates and communications with
- Help maintain consistency of messaging and brand across channels
Project support
- Support the team delivering TFH programs in schools
- Assist with coordination tasks, logistics and preparation for program delivery
- Contribute to maintaining clear records and supporting smooth program operations
Events
- Support planning and coordination of national and regional events
- Assist with event logistics, bookings, and on-the-day delivery
- Help with follow-up communications and materials
General Administration
- Provide general administrative support across the organisation
- Assist with organising documents, data entry and basic coordination tasks
- Support office-based activities on office-based days, including general office organisation
Person specification
Essential
- Interest in working in a not-for-profit, education or community organisation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organised and able to manage tasks and follow through
- Willingness to learn and contribute across different areas
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
Desirable
- Interest in communications, events or project coordination
- Experience using social media or creating content
