The Finance department brings a commercial perspective to business decision making and supports the Royal Women's business performance by providing the appropriate financial and business information and advice, as well as driving the organisation's business risk management program.

About the role

The Revenue Officer is responsible to the Manager, Revenue Operations and is charged with providing support and assistance in all aspects of the Revenue cycle.

The Revenue Officer will comfortably assist in daily tasks as well as provide insight into opportunities for process improvement through experience and knowledge sharing.

Your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Undertake patient billing activities and submit claims to health funds and/or patients
  • Assist Patient Accounts team with health fund eligibility checks, debt collection and other administrative tasks
  • Prompt and accurate allocation of all payments received in accounting and billing systems
  • Balance end of day takings against transactional reports
  • Be a change champion by reviewing processes to identify opportunities for improvement

About you

To be successful within this role you will need to have:

  • Previous billing, receipting and debtors experience in a public or private hospital setting;
  • Previous cash management experience in a public or hospital setting; and
  • Exceptional customer service skills with an ability to relate to all stakeholders internally and externally.
