about the Role

In this exciting new position, you will lead policy and landscape analysis, horizon scanning and the development of strategic options; translating complex information into clear, evidence-based recommendations for executive and Board consideration.

Working across the organisation and closely with the executive leadership team, you will identify, analyse and develop future strategic directions that advance our mission and long-term sustainability. 

To succeed in this position, you will need to be curious, adaptable, opportunity-focused and demonstrate a strong learning mindset. Holding a strong alignment with Teach For Australia’s values and commitment to equity in education.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you will bring to the position (The Key selection criteria) 

  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic analysis and development of strategic options in complex policy settings, the social services sector and/or mission-driven organisations.
  • Demonstrated experience producing high-quality strategic advice, options papers or investment proposals for senior decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with government, policy or funding landscapes.
  • Experience as a collaborative and influential leader who builds trust and brings others along with new ideas.
  • Experience in management consulting, a policy think tank, government or a purpose-led organisation, along with a strong understanding of the Australian education or social sector policy contexts would be advantageous.
