The St Vincent de Paul Society is a leading provider of community support services and has been assisting people experiencing disadvantage in NSW for more than 130 years. The Society's mission is to shape a more just and compassionate society by offering a 'hands up' approach to people in need respecting their dignity, sharing our hope and encouraging them to take control of their own destiny.
The Vinnies Bushfire Appeal was first opened in response to catastrophic bushfires in northern NSW in late September 2019, and later expanded to become a national appeal to support communities affected by the 2019-20 Black Summer Bushfires. You will support localised responses aimed at building a community's capacity in the recovery process and linking communities to existing local support services. This is a vital program for which we are looking to recruit an individual with a strong connection to communities who lead our Bushfire Response Program to ensure optimum impact is delivered to those communities.
