Outreach Support Worker - Young Women's Program

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Youth Work professional to cover a parental leave position at St Kilda Gatehouse.

This fixed term (9 months) position is part time - 3 days per week - and offers an exciting opportunity to join to our friendly and supportive Young Women’s Program (YWP) team. St Kilda Gatehouse YWP exists to disrupt sexual exploitation through empowerment, supporting the development of young people's (she/they, 12-24yrs) own Protective Factors.

YWP meets young people where they are at, both in location and psychosocially, to provide specialist outreach support for a dedicated caseload of young people. The team is equipped to undertake assessment of each young person's risk and protective factor profile, facilitate individual goal setting, and provide evidence-based therapeutic supports, while working collaboratively with other agencies to provide a holistic response. Outreach Workers meet reporting requirements through documentation of case file notes, therapeutic assessment, and ongoing liaison with stakeholders such as the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH), out of home care providers, and families, sharing appropriate information in a timely way.

The successful Candidate will be provided with both regular individual, internal supervision and group, external supervision.

A valid Driver licence is essential, outreach activities occur in the young person's safe, relevant places. The YWP office is located in Bayswater North, Victoria.

The role will commence July 2026.
