The St David’s Neighbourhood Centre Thrift Shop is an essential activity of the organisation and provides a place for connection, social benefit, and value for our community. Funds raised through the Thrift Shop support the work of the centre. A coordinator to lead and manage the shop and team of volunteers is vital to our success, the position has recently become vacant, and we are looking for the right person to join our team of staff and volunteers.
In this role you will lead the safe and effective operation of the Thrift Shop meeting identified sales targets and continuing its role as a point of connection. You will maintain a high level of volunteer engagement including the supported inclusion of volunteers from diverse backgrounds. To promote the shop and share information about the programs and support available through the centre, you will run events and hold special sales that encourage our community to connect with and support the shop.
Through the role, you will also create a welcoming and inclusive environment for our volunteers, working with them as they contribute to the organisation’s mission. Volunteer appreciation activities are also integral to the role as well as working with the other programs and activities of the centre.

St David’s Neighbourhood Centre provides a wide breadth of support to our community. The Thrift Shop Coordinator ensures the effective operation of a key activity of the centre and the Thrift Shop contributes to the financial viability of the organisation. The role works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to engage programs and activities with the Thrift Shop.
