St Basil's Homes NSW/ACT
  • HR Business Partner – People, Engagement & Culture

At St Basil’s, our mission is to enrich the lives of older people with dignity, compassion, and connection. As a not‑for‑profit organisation delivering care across four residential aged care homes, home and community services, and vibrant day centres, we know that the heart of exceptional care lies in our people.

We are seeking an experienced and influential Business Partner, People, Engagement & Culture who is passionate about uplifting workforce capability, strengthening culture, and partnering with leaders across diverse service environments.

This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional seeking genuine influence across a broad and meaningful organisation. You will work closely with senior leaders across residential aged care, home and community services, and day programs each with unique workforce challenges and opportunities.

You will have the opportunity to shape culture, coach leaders, and implement people strategies that support a high‑quality workforce delivering care across multiple settings.

This is a role with real visibility, impact, and scope — perfect for an experienced HR generalist ready to operate at a strategic level while staying connected to operational realities.

What You Will Lead

  • Partner with General Managers and operational leaders across residential care and community services to guide workforce strategy and capability
  • Provide expert advice on complex people matters, organisational structure, and change
  • Lead and contribute to P&C projects that drive long‑term improvement across all service streams
  • Coach leaders in employee relations, performance, engagement, culture, and workforce planning
  • Support organisational change, service growth, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with aged care, home and community, and workplace legislation
  • Strengthen HR frameworks, policies, and systems that enhance employee experience
  • Shape the culture and values across a diverse, caring workforce

About You

You are a seasoned HR practitioner with the ability to influence at senior levels, build trusted relationships quickly, and navigate complexity with confidence. You combine strategic thinking with hands‑on capability and enjoy partnering with leaders in dynamic, human‑centred environments.

You bring:

  • Significant experience in a HR Business Partner or advanced generalist role
  • Strong capability in leadership coaching, ER/IR, organisational change, and consulting
  • Experience navigating complexity across multi-site or multi-service organisations
  • Highly developed emotional intelligence and communication skills
  • A collaborative, pragmatic, and values‑driven approach
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related fields
  • Experience in aged care, health, disability, or other regulated sectors (advantageous)

Why St Basil’s

  • A role with meaningful influence across diverse service streams — residential, community, and day programs
  • A values-driven organisation where care and purpose guide everything
  • A warm, supportive People & Culture team with a strong reputation internally
  • Opportunities to lead workforce and culture initiatives that shape real outcomes
  • Not‑for‑profit salary packaging benefits
  • A stable environment with genuine investment in culture and employee experience
