The Northern Territory Council of Social Service (NTCOSS) is the peak body for the Northern Territory's social and community services sector. NTCOSS represents and advocates on behalf of community organisations, working to create a fair, inclusive and sustainable Territory.

Your Impact

As Chief Executive Officer, you will lead NTCOSS in driving policy reform, strengthening the community services sector and advocating for Territorians experiencing disadvantage. Partnering with the Board, members and key stakeholders, you will shape strategy, influence change and amplify a trusted voice for social justice across the Territory.

You will do this by:

• Providing strategic leadership to advance NTCOSS's vision, purpose and long-term sustainability.
• Building and strengthening relationships with members, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, government, funders and key stakeholders.
• Leading sector-wide advocacy, policy development and campaigns that influence social and economic outcomes across the Territory.
• Positioning NTCOSS as a trusted spokesperson and influential voice in public debate, media and government forums.
• Driving sector development initiatives that strengthen capability, collaboration and impact across the community services sector.
• Ensuring strong organisational governance, financial stewardship and performance in partnership with the Board.

What you bring

You are an influential and values-driven executive leader with the credibility to engage diverse stakeholders and navigate complex policy environments with diplomacy.

You also have:

• Senior executive or CEO experience working effectively with a governing Board.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and with demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across government, community and industry.
• Strong strategic, political and advocacy skills with experience influencing policy, reform or system-level change.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication in addition to high-level media skills and confidence in representing an organisation publicly and politically.
• Proven experience leading organisational sustainability through sound financial management, growth and revenue diversification.
• A commitment to social justice, equity and Aboriginal self-determination.
