Red Nose is a national charity working to save little lives and support anyone impacted by the death of a baby during pregnancy, infancy or early childhood.

At Red Nose, Community Engagement is all about belonging, connecting, honouring and contributing. The Community Engagement Officer – Victoria will be responsible for creating opportunities for Red Nose community members to be participate in Red Nose in ways that promote these ideas.

Deliverables range from special remembrance services that help bereaved families honour their little ones who have died through to supporting the roll out of our new volunteer program Footprints to help spread Red Nose messages across Victoria. The Community Engagement Team also plays an important role in promoting best practice bereavement care to medical professionals.

The successful candidate will have a knack for bringing people together, great communications skills, an ability to understand the complex journey of bereaved families, and wonderful event management skills.

This role is 15.2 hours per week with great flexible conditions. You could make your standard week two full days or three shorter ones, and will sometimes need to work your hours around special events. The role is based at our Head Office in Surrey Hills but you will sometimes be out and about in the community and will also have the opportunity to work from home.
