Seeds of Affinity strongly encourages applications from women with lived experience of incarceration and from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Seeds of Affinity is a non-profit community organisation that supports women in prison and post release in the community. Seeds of Affinity is a lived experience-led organisation; we have lived experience representation in executive leadership and board governance positions, and work to include the women we support in the daily operations and business, research, and social ventures of Seeds wherever possible. We work to maintain a community where women exiting prison feel a sense of belonging, solidarity, and self-worth, and where women are supported to stay out of custody. Our primary goal as an organisation is the decarceration of women in South Australia.
The Project Manager will lead the planning, establishment, coordination, and operational readiness of a new accommodation service for women transitioning from prison into the community. The role will work collaboratively with the Seeds of Affinity Chief Executive Officer and Board of Management, women with lived experience of incarceration, the Department of Corrections, community stakeholders, and local support services to ensure the program is safe, sustainable, will meet the needs of women leaving prison, and is aligned with the values of Seeds of Affinity.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong project management capability alongside a sound understanding of the South Australian social services landscape, transitional accommodation service models, and prison systems.
There is opportunity for the role to progress to an ongoing management position in the service depending on ongoing funding and performance during the contracted role.
