IPC Health is one of the largest providers of community health service in Victoria, operating from six sites in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. IPC Health exists so that communities are healthy and well, providing a full spectrum of care and support through a single point of contact and consistent approach to healthcare. IPC Health’s primary vision is to make the highest quality primary health care accessible to all who need it. A recent review and restructure has created the need for an outstanding corporate services professional to build an organisational infrastructure that will enable them to grow programs and services whilst maintaining quality and high levels of employee engagement.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role will form part of the Executive Leadership Team and be responsible for the strategic leadership of the financial performance and position of IPC Health as well as oversight of the shared corporate functions of the organisation including information technology and communications; property; contracts, legal affairs and procurement; facilities and maintenance. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team this role will also contribute to identifying and developing strategies to support the growth and sustainability of IPC Health by maximising revenue, containing costs and driving cultural change. The General Manager F&CS will be expected to build effective working relationships across the organisation and ensure that all systems, policies and procedures are compliant with applicable legislation, funding body requirements and aligned to best practice.
This role combines the requirement to provide strategic leadership to teams, alongside an operational imperative to integrate a complex range of diverse services by aligning work practices, policies and procedures to deliver the organisation’s key objectives. To do this you will need to be prepared to engage with key internal and external stakeholders to really understand how the organisation works. Importantly, the role will also be responsible for ensuring that the values and culture of the organisation are upheld and embedded through any forward change processes.
To be considered for this important position you will possess a relevant Accounting qualification and be a member of a relevant professional body. With strong financial management skills and commercial acumen, you will ideally have had previous experience in a similar position in the health, community or similar sectors. Your values will be aligned to those of IPC Health and a service orientation, constantly looking for innovative ways to improve performance. You will lead by example, and drive high standards of performance through a relationship - driven and collaborative style of working. Previous experience in leading new system implementation successfully will be highly regarded.
This is a great opportunity to join IPC Health, with new leadership, an exciting growth strategy and in a role where you’ll be given a high degree of autonomy and the necessary support to be successful. There are a number exciting projects planned that will require a highly skilled individual, but also a person who has the appetite to get out from behind the desk, understand the business and take an active role in driving change that incorporates external clients as the main focus with a values-driven approach to recognising the expertise of staff and making IPC Health a great place to work. IPC Health have already seen some significant improvements with new leadership, with a lift in engagement scores with staff and a new-found appetite to look at new ways of working. IPC are looking for people who will play a lead role in continuing this exciting new journey.
