Your opportunity

Join the Faculty of Health, and support the delivery of the SISTAQUIT Projects, a research initiative strengthening Birthing on Country strategies and maternal smoking cessation initiatives in partnership with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services across New South Wales and South Australia. Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, you'll undertake research and project administration activities that supports academics and field work, and helps ensure the successful delivery of this nationally significant Indigenous health project.

You will make an impact by:

• Identifying practical solutions to project challenges while adapting to changing priorities and operational needs
• Building collaborative relationships with academics, researchers, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and other stakeholders
• Collecting, analysing and preparing research data, grant applications reports, literature reviews and project documentation
• Providing administrative support for ethics applications, travel coordination, meetings, project administration and financial tracking

What you will bring

You're an organised and proactive project professional who enjoys variety, thrives on solving problems and works collaboratively to achieve meaningful outcomes. You bring cultural capability, sound judgement and the ability to build respectful relationships with diverse stakeholders, particularly within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

To succeed in this role, you will also need:

• A relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, knowledge and training
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes
• Strong written communication and research skills, including literature reviews, qualitative data analysis and report preparation

While not essential, we'd love it if you also have experience working in Indigenous health, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services, health research or cross-cultural projects. Experience in nursing, midwifery or other health-related fields would also be highly regarded. If you don't have this experience but believe you have the right skills and commitment to contribute, we still encourage you to apply.

Your opportunity is:

• Full-time, fixed term (3 years)
• Ideally located at Gold Coast, QLD 4225. Hybrid working arrangements may be possible for the right candidate. Relocation assistance is available, making it easier to join our regional communities.
• HEW Level 5. The base salary ranges from $83,563 - $92,857 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $108,643.
