SALT - Sport and Life Training

Over the past 11 years, Sport & Life Training (SALT) has established itself as a trusted partner to sporting clubs across Victoria, delivering more than 4000 sessions to over 850 clubs across 20+ sports.

Now, we're bringing that impact to Western Australia.

Backed by a major investment from The Hospital Research Foundation Group and strong support from our Bendigo Community Bank partners, we're looking for the person who will establish SALT across Perth, Mandurah and surrounding areas.

This is a rare opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up, with the backing of an experienced team, proven programs and strong strategic partnerships.

About the role

You'll be the face of SALT in Western Australia, building relationships, creating opportunities and working alongside sporting clubs, community organisations and key partners to strengthen communities through sport.

This is a role for someone who enjoys turning conversations into opportunities. You'll spend your time connecting with clubs, leagues and community organisations, developing partnerships, coordinating the delivery of SALT programs and helping establish a strong and sustainable presence across Perth, Mandurah and surrounding areas.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll have the autonomy to make the role your own while being supported by the broader SALT team. If you enjoy building genuine relationships, thinking strategically and making things happen, this is a rare opportunity to help shape something from the ground up.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Loves building genuine relationships and earning people's trust.
  • Creates opportunities rather than waits for them.
  • Thrives on turning ideas into action.
  • Is energised by the idea of building something from the ground up.
  • Backs themselves to work independently, make good decisions and take initiative.
  • Believes community sport has the power to change lives and strengthen communities.
  • Wants to look back in five years and say, "I helped build that."

Key responsibilities

  • Establish SALT's presence across Perth, Mandurah and surrounding areas.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with sporting clubs, leagues, community organisations and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and create new opportunities for SALT to grow its impact across Western Australia.
  • Work alongside The Hospital Research Foundation Group and Community Bank partners to maximise opportunities and community outcomes.
  • Coordinate the delivery of SALT programs across Western Australia, working with local facilitators and the broader SALT team.
  • Represent SALT at meetings, events and within the community, building the organisation's profile and reputation.
  • Help shape the future of SALT in Western Australia through strategic thinking, collaboration and initiative.

What you'll get

  • A rare opportunity to establish SALT in Western Australia.
  • Flexible part-time role (hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant).
  • Subiaco office with hybrid working arrangements.
  • A competitive salary package, with the opportunity to grow alongside the role as SALT expands in Western Australia.
  • Salary packaging.
  • A passionate, supportive team.
  • The chance to build something you'll be proud of.

Imagine looking back in five years and being able to say...

"I helped build SALT in Western Australia."
