We have opportunities available across multiple locations, including Parramatta, Gosford, Sydney, Wollongong and surrounding regional areas in the south, as well as Newcastle and regional areas further north.

Currently we are recruiting for multiple teams including Construction, Operations, Dangerous Goods & Explosives, Occupational Health & Environment, Silica & Dust Diseases, and to further support our Return to Work and Psychosocial functions.

To be successful as a SafeWork NSW Inspector, you must

  • Successfully complete all mandatory pre employment checks, including a medical assessment to confirm capacity to meet the physical and psychological requirements of the role.
  • Hold and maintain a valid driver’s licence along with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Commit to complete the 12-month New Inspector Training Program (NITP) for the awarding of the Diploma in Government (Workplace Inspection), delivered by SafeWork NSW’s Registered Training Organisation. This includes induction, classroom and online learning, assessments, and extensive field-based training with regular travel across the Sydney metropolitan area.
  • Meet all essential requirements detailed in the Role Description and comply with mandatory pre-employment screening in line with SafeWork NSW policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
