As part of our continued growth, Richmond Fellowship is expanding our Supported Independent Living (SIL) and community access services across the ACT and into NSW, creating new and exciting opportunities for casual Support Workers to join our team. While these opportunities are primarily within our SIL homes, there will also be opportunities to support individuals through community access as part of their recovery journey.
Across our homes in Lyneham, Curtin, Kambah, Bonner and Holt (ACT), and Goulburn (NSW), you will provide practical, recovery-oriented support to people experiencing mental health challenges within shared home environments and the community. In this role, you will walk alongside individuals as a trusted support, fostering safety, dignity and connection, and supporting each person to build independence and live a life of meaning and purpose. You will bring a compassionate, respectful and non-judgemental approach to your work, responding to individual strengths and needs, and demonstrating the courage to adapt, advocate and do what is right for the people we support. Through your everyday interactions, you will contribute to environments where people feel heard, valued and empowered to thrive and live well.
Within the SIL program, shifts operate across a 24/7 roster and include day shifts from 8:00am to 4:00pm, as well as sleepover shifts from 3:30pm to 8:30am (inclusive of overnight stay).
You bring a genuine commitment to person-centred, recovery-oriented support and understand the importance of consistency, respect, and everyday interactions in building trust and wellbeing.
You will have relevant qualifications and/or experience, along with the ability to apply your skills effectively in a structured service environment.
Richmond Fellowship is a long-standing mental health organisation, based in Queensland, with over 50 years of experience delivering community-based support. We walk alongside individuals and communities to strengthen wellbeing, promote independence, and create opportunities for people to live the lives they choose. Our approach is grounded in recovery, inclusion, and genuine human connection, with a strong focus on creating safe and supportive environments where people can grow and move forward. Join us as we shape the next 50 years.
