About the Team

The RFDS WA Dental Team delivers essential oral healthcare services to regional and remote communities across Western Australia where access to regular dental care is limited or unavailable. The team works closely with local health services, Aboriginal medical services and community partners to provide safe, culturally appropriate and patient centred care. You will be supported by experienced RFDS Dental Assistants and established clinical infrastructure in fixed clinic locations, with future expansion into mobile and remote service models.

About the Role

  • Deliver emergency, preventative and general dental care to adults and children in designated regional and remote locations across WA.
  • Provide oral health education and advice to patients and communities.
  • Refer patients requiring complex treatment such as dentures, crowns or orthodontics to appropriate services.
  • Travel FIFO to regional clinics in one-to-two-week blocks, with a minimum commitment of four weeks per year, allowing you to maintain your primary role while contributing meaningfully to remote health care.

About You

  • Registered Dental Practitioner with AHPRA and compliant with CPD requirements.
  • Minimum three years clinical experience in general dental practice.
  • Available for a minimum of four weeks per year in one to two week FIFO blocks.
  • Strong communicator and collaborative team member with a patient centred approach.
  • Interest in Indigenous health, with experience highly regarded.
  • Current driver’s licence and professional indemnity insurance.
