We are seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our supportive team on a permanent full-time basis (38 hours per week), commencing Term 4, 2026 and for the entirety of 2027 for a maternity leave cover. This role has the potential to be extended long term.

In this role, you will collaborate with our kindergarten team to deliver high-quality early childhood education and create inclusive, engaging environments that reflect the needs and interests of children and families. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected community kindergarten.

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will plan, implement, and evaluate a holistic curriculum aligned with the VEYLDF, working within a team-teaching model to support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a play-based, child-centred curriculum tailored to each child
  • Observe, assess, and document learning to inform planning
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Embed inclusive practices, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and anti-bias approaches
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and professional standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and complete mandatory reporting and Child Safe training

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
  • Current VIT registration.
  • Current First Aid, Mandatory Reporting, National Child Safety training, and WWC Check.
  • Strong working knowledge of National Law, Regulations, VEYLDF, NQS, and Child Safe Standards.
