The Regional Food Security Alliance (RFSA) is a trusted, government funded alliance of six community-owned Regional Foodshares across Victoria. We advocate, drive sector collaboration, and support our members to uphold the dignity of every person seeking healthy, accessible, and affordable food.

Now entering our next chapter, we’re searching for an inaugural CEO to take us forward — someone who thrives on collaboration, partnership, and community development.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, strategic leadership role at the heart of a growing alliance. Working closely with the RFSA Board, six member Foodshares, government, and sector partners, you will lead delivery of the Strategic Plan 2026 – 28, driving the transition to a professionally and financially sustainable organisation, advocating for food security policy reform as our principal voice to government, funders, and media, and building lasting partnerships across the sector.

Your passion and experience in understanding life in regional communities will shine through.

You will develop organisational systems fit for purpose, and recruit and lead a small, values-driven team whilst overseeing governance and compliance with care and rigour.

What You Bring

• 3–5+ years of executive leadership in non-profit, community services, or social justice
• A track record of growing organisations and securing sustainable funding
• Political nous and the ability to influence government and sector stakeholders
• Experience in community development and building collective capacity
• A collaborative leadership style, exceptional communication skills, and strong governance knowledge
