With a proud history of over 40 years, we are Victoria’s largest provider of crisis accommodation, operating three core and cluster refuges, 15 refuge properties, and holding nomination rights to 35 transitional houses.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an organised, people-focused HR professional to join our Corporate Services team on a part-time basis (0.5 FTE), supporting the Human Resources department with recruitment, learning and development, and general office administration.

Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, you'll play a key role in keeping our recruitment processes running smoothly, supporting onboarding for new starters, coordinating learning and development initiatives, and contributing to a safe and well-run office environment.

This is one of two complementary 0.5 FTE HR Administration positions that together support the full breadth of our HR function. This role focuses on recruitment, onboarding, learning & development, and health, safety and wellbeing administration.

How you'll make an impact

This is a hands-on, people-focused role where no two days look exactly the same. You’ll play an important part in supporting a positive employee experience across the full HR lifecycle, including:

  • Finding great people supporting end-to-end recruitment, from advertising roles and coordinating interviews through to helping new starters feel welcomed and ready to thrive.
  • Experience in recruitment, general HR administration, or an HR helpdesk role.Minimum 3 years' general HR administration experience.
  • Strong administration, coordination, and record-keeping skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracyProving generalist HR administration support across employee records, processes, documentation and day-to-day enquiries.
  • Being a go-to support across the office assisting with general office administration and helping create a workplace that feels organised, welcoming and connected.

About You

As a small and passionate team, we’re looking for someone with a can-do attitude and enjoys being part of a collaborative, team focused environment. This opportunity is for an experienced and proactive HR generalist who is friendly, approachable and is comfortable with a range of responsibilities in a fast-paced, purpose driven environment.

You will bring

Essential:

  • Experience in recruitment, general HR administration, or an HR helpdesk role
  • 3+ years' general HR administration experience
  • Strong administration, coordination and record-keeping skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • A collaborative, professional approach and high level of motivation

Desirable:

  • 2+ years' end-to-end recruitment experience
  • Post-secondary qualification in Business or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with HR/compliance systems (Employment Hero highly desirable)
  • Culture AMP or survey system experience
  • Knowledge of the SCHADS Award and modern awards / Fair Work legislation
  • Experience in the family violence, not-for-profit or community services sector
  • Experience in a similar role or relevant experience of 2+ years within HR and Office admin
