Workpower is seeking Casual Environmental Technicians to support environmental rehabilitation, revegetation and conservation projects across the Perth Metro area and beyond.

If you enjoy working outdoors, getting hands-on, and contributing to the protection and restoration of Western Australia’s natural environment, this could be the role for you.

About the Role

As an Environmental Technician, you will work alongside our Environmental Services team to deliver a range of environmental management projects. Your role may include:

  • Identifying native plants and weeds
  • Manual and mechanical weed control
  • Native seed collection
  • Operating powered equipment such as augers, brush cutters, hedgers and blowers
  • Installing plants using manual and mechanical methods
  • Supporting daily environmental works and project outcomes
  • Ensuring public safety while undertaking environmental activities
  • Contributing positively to teamwork within Workpower
  • Participating in training and development as required
  • Complying with OSH, legislative and regulatory requirements

About You

This role will suit you if you:

  • Enjoy working outdoors and being hands-on
  • Have an interest in environmental conservation and land management
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Are reliable, safety focused and willing to learn
  • Bring previous environmental experience (desirable but not essential)

Essential Requirements

  • National Police Clearance
  • Previous experience in the environmental sector preferred but not essential
  • Certificate III or IV in Land Management preferred but not essential
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing where required
