We have on offer two (2) exciting opportunities for motivated and experienced men’s family violence practitioners at our Cranbourne North centre to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) in this important role with staff who have been delivering effective client focused services and outcomes for over 70 years in Victoria.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Southern and Eastern Melbourne, this is an exciting new position funded by the Victorian State Government (Family Safety Victoria) to provide specialist family violence services to address individual perpetrator needs. In addition, this role will also facilitate RAV’s Men’s Behaviour Change (MBC) Programs which involves delivering and assessing specific family violence group programs to men who have used violent and controlling behaviours towards family members.

We have two (2) amazing new opportunities available at our Cranbourne North centre: one (1) full-time, permanent position and one (1) part-time, four (4) days per week on a 12month fixed-term contract. Pending funding review and contractual obligations, the fixed-term contract may be extended at a later date.

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in social work, or a related social science discipline.
  • Completion of ‘No to Violence’ Graduate Certificate in Client Assessment and Case Management (Male Family Violence), Swinburne University (preferred) or significant relevant group work experience).
  • Experience in the provision of high-quality risk assessments of individuals and families, where family violence is an identified risk.
  • An understanding of the gendered nature of family violence and the ability to articulate a practise framework including engagement and assessment.
  • Demonstrated experience with a range of family violence and family intervention models.

A competitive salary package is on offer to the successful candidate with a base salary range of $84k-$90k (pro-rata) per annum, superannuation and access to salary packaging.
