The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (the RANZCP) is a not-for-profit professional membership organisation. We are responsible for training, educating and representing psychiatrists in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

We have two exciting opportunities for People Partners to join our People and Culture team.

People and Culture partners with our departments to create a positive, safe and high-performing workplace. The team provides practical people and culture support and delivers initiatives that strengthen performance, capability, health, safety and wellbeing across the organisation.

Reporting to the Senior People Partner, this generalist role supports the full employee lifecycle, including employee relations, recruitment, workforce planning, learning and development, and health and safety. You will work closely with leaders and employees to provide trusted advice, deliver people initiatives, and contribute to a positive employee experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a people-focused HR professional who enjoys building relationships, solving complex people matters and partnering with leaders to achieve organisational outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

• Act as a trusted HR partner to your client groups, providing practical advice, coaching and support to people managers on a broad range of employee relations, performance, conduct and wellbeing matters
• Manage complex people cases end-to-end, helping managers navigate difficult situations with confidence and find fair, timely resolutions
• Build strong relationships with leaders at all levels, becoming a credible and trusted advisor on both day-to-day people matters and more complex strategic issues
• Partner with leaders through organisational change, supporting communication, engagement and any redeployment processes along the way
• Use people data and insights to identify trends, influence decision-making and help business areas adapt and improve
• Contribute to the development and review of HR policies, processes and procedures, and take on projects that support broader people and business priorities
• Keep accurate HRIS records and documentation, and ensure compliance across the employee lifecycle, the behind-the-scenes work that keeps everything running well

What you'll bring

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated HR generalist knowledge and experience partnering with leaders and managers to deliver HR initiatives and outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience effectively managing employee relations matters and complex HR cases.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships

What’s in it for you

• $95,000 to $116,000 + superannuation + salary packaging options (up to $15,899 for general living expenses and up to $2,650 for meal entertainment)
• 37.5-hour work week + a monthly day off
