What you’ll do:
You'll deliver high-quality, trauma-informed therapeutic casework to individuals impacted by complex childhood trauma. This role may involve working closely with people currently in custody or recently released, offering practical and emotional support. In addition, you'll:
- Provide trauma-informed therapeutic casework services for psychological well being for people who have experienced complex childhood trauma
- Support clients in accessing the National Redress Scheme, including preparing applications and managing expectations
- Actively support client understanding of the National Redress Scheme and manage expectations
- Review / prepare applications for National Redress Scheme, Victim Impact statements, responses to subpoenas
- Deliver services in person, over the phone, and online, often in collaboration with other services
The details:
- 12 months contract - 4 - 5 days available
- Base location Parramatta with flexibility to work from any of our RA centres in NSW in line with business needs

What you’ll bring:
- Formal graduate qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or other relevant disciplines
- An ability to provide quality casework interventions that are person centred and individually tailored
- Postgraduate experience in psychological support, including assessment, engagement, and trauma-informed case planning
- Awareness of the history and long-term impacts affecting Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants in Australia and the long-term impacts for those who experienced complex trauma as children
- Counselling experience / skills with people who have experienced childhood trauma and additional vulnerabilities such as mental health distress or disability is desirable
