About the role

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will provide strategic leadership and direction across the organisation’s finance, strategy, technology, and human resources functions. This role will drive operational excellence, financial stewardship, and organisational effectiveness to support the company's growth and success.

The COO will drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness, innovation and agility. This role will also ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial best practices to drive CareerTrackers as an industry leader.

About you

You will be dedicated and passionate about using your skills and experience to improve professional development and career outcomes for First Nations people. With a wealth of experience across Finance, Strategy, HR and Technology, you will be capable of steering the organisation to align their day-to-day operations with their overarching strategy.

You will be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and oversee programs of change management across the organisation. You’ll be highly analytical and able to assess risks and solve problems. Your stakeholder engagement capabilities will be strongly developed, particularly your capability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Key Requirements

  • Exceptional capabilities in Financial Management with demonstrated experience in development and implementation of Financial strategies.
  • Proven experience in leading teams within Finance, Operations or Strategy at the Senior Management level.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and an understanding of risk management.
  • Strong passion for driving positive career outcomes for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students/young professionals.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (postgraduate qualifications preferred).
