About the organisation

Weave Youth & Community Services is a place-based community organisation located on unceded Gadigal and Bidjigal Country in Sydney, delivering community-led programs, supports and services that have been developed with and for the community for more than 50 years.

Driven by a vision of healing, wellbeing and opportunity, Weave walks alongside children, young people, women and families impacted by systemic disadvantage and intergenerational trauma. Guided by its Aboriginal Healing Framework, Weave is committed to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander self-determination, recognising the strengths, wisdom and leadership of community in creating lasting change.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for providing strategic leadership across all aspects of the organisation, ensuring Weave continues to deliver meaningful outcomes while remaining financially sustainable, culturally responsive and aligned with its purpose and values.

Leading an experienced leadership team, you will drive organisational strategy, oversee high-quality service delivery across Weave's four Sydney sites, strengthen governance and organisational capability, and build strong partnerships across government, philanthropy, community and the broader not-for-profit sector. You will also play a key role in strengthening Weave's profile, securing long-term sustainability and fostering a positive, values-driven organisational culture.

This is a unique opportunity for an accomplished executive leader to guide one of Sydney's most respected community organisations through its next chapter, building on more than five decades of impact while continuing to create positive change for children, young people, families and communities.
