The Pilbara Community Legal Service Inc. (PCLS) is a non-profit, government-funded community organisation that provides a range of free services which include legal advice, Redress financial counselling, tenancy advocacy and support, domestic violence advocacy and support and migrant settlement services. The primary responsibilities of this position is to improve the safety of women and children who are escaping domestic violence, provide wrap-around support in collaboration with other relevant service providers, deter perpetrators from re-offending and facilitate the collection of admissible evidence to improve justice responses.
A key function of this role is to formulate early intervention and prevention strategies aimed at breaking the cycle of family and domestic violence and preventing women and children becoming homeless following domestic violence.
