Peninsula Community Legal Centre Inc. (PCLC) is a not-for –profit organisation with a vision of delivering justice for our community – promoting and protecting human rights and equality before the law.
PCLC is seeking a Director, Legal Services to lead a diverse team of legal professionals to deliver high quality legal advice, casework and court services for vulnerable and disadvantaged clients in a high volume and complex environment.
The Peninsula Community Legal Centre (PCLC) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that has been providing free legal services to Melbourne’s south eastern communities since 1977.
In addition to its general legal services, the Centre operates specialist programs in family violence, family law, fines, and tenancy. We also undertake community legal education, community development and public advocacy activities. Our clients overwhelmingly experience disadvantage. Our priorities include people on low income, people with disabilities, those experiencing elder abuse, family violence, homelessness and other vulnerable groups.
The Director Legal Services will work in consultation with the CEO to lead and coordinate the Centre’s legal practice to ensure the provision of high quality legal services on behalf of the Centre and its client base.
The Director Legal Services will lead and contribute to the Centre’s community legal education, community engagement and policy and law reform work.
The Director Legal Services will co-act in the CEO role, in the CEO’s absence.
