We are seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Caseworker to join our Restoring Families MST-CAN® team based in Goulburn.

About the Program

MST-CAN® (Multisystemic Therapy for Child Abuse and Neglect) is an intensive, evidence-based program supporting families where children and young people are at risk of entering out-of-home care due to abuse, neglect, family violence, mental health concerns, substance misuse, and other complex challenges.

The program works intensively with families in their homes and communities to strengthen parenting, improve family functioning, and create safer, more stable environments for children.

About the Role

As the Clinical Caseworker, you will work alongside MST-CAN Therapists and the broader clinical team to provide practical, therapeutic, and casework support to families with complex needs.

This hands-on role involves outreach and home-based work, supporting family engagement, crisis intervention, safety planning, and linking families with appropriate community supports. You will collaborate closely with Child Protection and other stakeholders to help families achieve sustainable change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with children, young people, and families
  • Support engagement in MST-CAN treatment and intervention plans
  • Assist with assessment, case planning, and safety responses
  • Provide practical in-home support to improve parenting and family functioning
  • Link families with housing, education, health, and community supports
  • Work collaboratively with Child Protection and service providers
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and program requirements
  • Participate in supervision, team consultation, and professional development
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call roster (approximately 1 week in 4, if required)

About You

You are passionate about supporting vulnerable children and families and confident working within complex family systems.

You will bring:

  • Degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services, or related discipline
  • Experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and families
  • Strong understanding of child protection and risk management
  • Ability to engage resistant or hard-to-reach families
  • Excellent communication and case management skills
  • Commitment to culturally safe, trauma-informed, and inclusive practice
  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the region
