At its core NPY Women’s Council is about family and community – walytja. Our purpose is to work with women, children and their families of the Ngaanyatjarra, Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara region in central Australia. Our role is to work side by side and help increase their capacity to lead safe and healthy lives with improved life choices.

The NPYWC Youth Program works with children and young people (aged 10-25) and their families and is integral to the work that we do. Our model is based on four key components; case management, leadership and education, youth diversion and recreation and advocacy and collaboration.

We are now recruiting for a Team Leader to work alongside the Youth Team Manager to provide support and guidance to a dedicated team of professionals working in Northern Territory communities. This role will be an integral part of the management team and will supervise staff whilst providing day to day delivery of the Youth program.

We are looking for someone with experience in supervision but can also balance the day to day delivery of program work and projects. This position will provide a range of support to staff and management and ideally, you will have worked with Aboriginal people and have Central Australian working experience.

The successful person will be resilient, driven and focused. We’re looking for someone who is assertive but also has the compassion to work with our staff and clients on sensitive issues.
