The Northern Land Council (NLC) is looking for a Youth Engagement Coordinator to support Aboriginal young people aged 18–25 to join and succeed in our Caring for Country Ranger Program.
This role is about building confidence, creating opportunities and helping young people move into training, work and long-term careers on country. You’ll work closely with ranger groups, communities, schools and training providers to support young people through mentoring, practical activities and employment pathways.
The successful candidate will support and mentor young Aboriginal people entering ranger programs, coordinate traineeships, youth activities and build strong relationships with communities, schools and training organisations. A major part of the role will be to help young people develop workplace skills and confidence, organise travel, accommodation, equipment and on-country activities. You will also support Ranger Mentors and Trainee Rangers and work with internal NLC teams to create strong youth pathways.
