Roles available:

  • 1 x Co-ordinator, Change Em Ways Communities
  • 1 x Male Co-Facilitator, Change Em Ways Communities
  • 1 x Female Co-Facilitator, Change Em Ways Broome

The three positions are based in Broome; with two requiring regular travel to specified locations in the Kimberley. Fixed term contracts are available (minimum 12 months) with possibility of extension.

Your duties will include:

  • Co-facilitation of the CEW program, an Indigenous Men’s Behaviour Change Program (FDV)
  • Case management of clients as they progress through the program, including provision of group and individual sessions
  • Completion of risk assessments and safety plans
  • Collection of data to assist in the evaluation process, including feedback from those who use FDV, their (ex) partners and other family/community members.
  • Participating in the debriefing sessions at the end of each workshop day, and participating in regular professional supervision.
  • Liaison with other members of the Change Em Ways team, including the MOSAC Cultural Reference Group to ensure that cultural protocols are followed, and that team practice is culturally secure, in the Kimberley Indigenous context.

The Co-ordinator will be expected to take a lead role in carrying out the above duties.

Successful applicants will ideally have:

  • Experience in Family Domestic Violence (FDV) work
  • Experience in group program facilitation
  • Ability to work with Indigenous people
  • Ability to travel and work in the Kimberley including areas outside of Broome
  • Good time management, written and verbal communication skills and planning and organisation skills.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • Applicants must hold a ‘C’ class drivers' license with no restrictions
  • Regular travel, including overnight is a requirement of two of these roles
