We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Operations Leader to join Moreland Community Child Care Centres (MCCCC), where you can utilise your operational leadership skills and be a critical part of the senior leadership team.

You will lead a team to deliver high quality programs that are inclusive and meet the needs of all children and families. You will provide operational leadership to manage, support and build capacity of Centre Leaders, Educational Leaders, Teachers and Educators .

Moreland Community Child Care Centres (MCCCC) is a not-for-profit community-based organisation that offers a quality early learning program based on best practice, to meet the multifaceted needs of the children in our care. All Centres have been assessed as "exceeding" under the National Quality Standards rating process and deliver funded kindergarten programs.

  • Dunstan Reserve – 72 children per day within the service in an age-based room setting
  • Mitchell Street - 35 children per day and is a multi-aged grouping service
  • Tinning Street - 35 children per day and is a multi-age grouping service
  • North West Brunswick Kindergarten (NWBK) offers 3- and 4-year-old sessional kindergarten, including integrated Italian program.

We believe that education, social interactions and community participation help create a lifelong love of learning and foster a sense of belonging and identity for children. We integrate awareness of environmental and sustainability into our education programs by creating centres that have a minimal environmental impact and promote the wellbeing of children and staff.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Operations Leader will work across all sites to provide senior leadership mentoring and guidance to all Centres to develop strong, dynamic teams.

The Operations Leader is responsible for all operations, by supporting and enabling Centre Leaders to operate their Centres; ensuring strong educational practice, strong dynamic teams and embedding of regulations, policies and procedures.

The Operations Leader works in a positive and collaborative manner to promote and deliver a quality, innovative children’s program that reflects the philosophy of the service and early childhood education best practice.

Reporting into the Executive Director, the Operations Leader is a key member of the senior leadership team and will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Centres to meet regulations and requirements as the Nominated Supervisor. The Operations Leader operates with a high level of autonomy and directly supervises the Centre Leaders. We offer flexible working arrangements – part time and full time options.

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor leaders and their teams - encouraging individual and team development
  • Qualification in Early Education (Bachelor of Education, Early Childhood or Diploma in Childcare) or equivalent
  • Ability to coach for continuous improvement - ensuring teams are driven to meet their full potential and to deliver on organisational goals
  • Expert knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Regulations and Education and Care Services National Law
  • Work ethic that embraces high level of integrity and reliability
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Successful applicants will also need to hold (or obtain) a current Working with Children Check and Federal Police Check
