- Regional SA > Mimili
We are a values and evidence driven for-purpose organisation.
We work in the remote Indigenous communities of the APY Lands, far north SA.
We advocate, influence, build & share knowledge to tackle inequality. Our programs include the Mimili Family Wellbeing Centre, financial counselling & capability, No Interest Loans and energy efficiency education. We are developing our knowledge in trauma-informed practice, critical to achieving wellbeing.
Our vision: Aboriginal people and communities are empowered to achieve economic wellbeing and self-determination. In this, Aboriginal people are equal partners in and co-creators of our practice.
We're a young organisation that's achieved big things. Our advocacy work on unconscionable mobile phone sales to Indigenous clients led directly to the imposition of Australia's second-largest corporate fine. We've had over half a million dollars in debt waived for our clients since 2018.
At MoneyMob, you won't be bored. We're always learning, and we want you to as well. We work hard, but care about each other. Our culture is informal but smart; we value transparency, accountability, self-awareness and a thoughtful approach. Plus laughing and chocolate!
Applying a trauma-informed lens, the Centre Coordinator will promote, organise and deliver multi-disciplinary services and activities to support community/cultural wellbeing and capacity building. You'll be guided by the Centre's Wellbeing Action Plan, developed with strong community consultation. You'll oversee Centre bookings and maintenance, and provide case management to people at risk of social isolation. You'll supervise a small group of part-time and casual staff. You'll develop a Centre Steering Committee.
This opportunity will suit an insightful professional who can adapt their pace to the community. With your deep relationship, case management and capacity building skills, you'll have the chance to influence a newly emerging program area.
Attractive remuneration $102,281 to $106,558 depending on qualifications and experience
Plus super and remote salary sacrificing options
