We are seeking a passionate and relationship-focused Donor Engagement & Grants Coordinator to help strengthen supporter engagement, grow donor loyalty and contribute to securing funding that enables our programs to reach more families.

About the role

As the Donor Engagement & Grants Coordinator, you will be the friendly and professional first point of contact for many of our donors and supporters. You will help create seamless donor journeys that inspire ongoing support and demonstrate the impact of every gift.

You will also support grant and sponsorship activities, helping secure funding for critical programs that improve outcomes for families impacted by premature or sick birth.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with donors and supporters.
  • Coordinate donor communications, acknowledgements and stewardship activities.
  • Support and grow our Regular Giving program through onboarding, engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Manage donor enquiries and the donation process across multiple channels.
  • Analyse donor data and prepare reports to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Fundraising teams to enhance donor engagement and increase fundraising income.
  • Research, develop and submit grant applications and funding proposals.
  • Assist with grant acquittals, sponsorship opportunities and program funding submissions.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen donor experiences and increase long-term supporter loyalty.

About you

You are an organised and proactive relationship-builder who enjoys connecting with people and delivering outstanding supporter experiences.

You will bring:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship management and customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Confidence communicating with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, donors and business partners.
  • High-level Microsoft Office skills.

Desirable

  • Experience in fundraising, marketing or the not-for-profit sector.
  • Experience working with CRM and content management systems.
  • Experience using Canva or similar design platforms.
  • Project coordination experience, including campaigns, events or fundraising initiatives.
