Midsumma is seeking an experienced Ticketing & Presenter Services Manager to lead festival ticketing operations and presenter support for the 2027 Midsumma Festival.

This is a pivotal role working across more than 200 festival events, supporting artists, venues and producers while ensuring audiences enjoy a seamless ticketing experience. About Midsumma

Midsumma is one of Australia's leading LGBTQIA+ arts and cultural organisations. Each year we present a three-week festival celebrating queer artists, communities and culture through theatre, visual arts, music, performance, exhibitions, talks, parties, sport and public events.

The 2027 Midsumma Festival runs from 17 January – 7 February 2027.

About the role

As Ticketing & Presenter Services Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of ticketing and presenter services across the festival. You'll work closely with artists, venues, producers and internal teams to coordinate ticket sales, event setup, reporting and presenter support while ensuring accurate event data is collected for festival reporting and evaluation.

This role is central to the successful delivery of the festival and requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships and has exceptional organisational skills.

Key responsibilities

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing all festival ticketing operations, including Red61 event builds and ticket sales
  • Supporting and communicating with festival presenters and venues throughout the festival lifecycle
  • Coordinating complimentary ticket allocations, sponsor and stakeholder ticketing
  • Producing ticket sales reports and providing insights to support festival performance
  • Collecting and managing attendance and event data across both ticketed and non-ticketed events
  • Coordinating presenter services, workshops and communications
  • Working closely with Programming, Marketing, Finance and Production teams to ensure smooth festival delivery
  • Supporting event reconciliations and reporting

About you

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience managing ticketing for festivals, events or performing arts organisations
  • Experience using ticketing platforms (Red61 experience highly regarded)
  • Experience with event registration systems such as Eventotron (or similar)
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work calmly under pressure
  • A collaborative approach and a commitment to inclusion and diversity
  • An understanding of, or genuine commitment to, LGBTQIA+ communities and the arts sector
