Meridian is preparing for the 2025 Canberra GBQ+ Community Periodic Survey (CGCPS) - a key project capturing how gay, bisexual, and queer (GBQ) men, and non-binary people who have sex with GBQ men, engage with sexual health and community life.

As a Survey Recruiter, you’ll be out in the community chatting with people at LGBTIQA+ events and venues, inviting them to take part in the survey, and answering questions. You’ll help shape the future of sexual health programs in Canberra.

Training provided: Wednesday 29 October, 5.30–6.30pm (paid)

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Great communication and people skills
  • Comfortable engaging with LGBTIQA+ community members and speaking about sexual health, alcohol and drug use, and harm reduction.
  • Available for training (29 October), 1 November & 15 November
  • Reliable, friendly, and proactive
  • Current WWVP registration

Desirable

  • Experience with outreach, community engagement, or research
  • Passion for, and LGBTIQA+ wellbeing
  • Awareness of diverse lived experiences in our communities
  • Other availability in the two weeks between 1 and 15 November
  • Unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence
