Position Purpose

The Well@Work Administrator supports the effective delivery of injury management and return to work processes within the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team. The role ensures accurate administration of claims and related activities while providing responsive, trauma-informed support to injured employees. By coordinating information, maintaining compliant records, and facilitating communication between stakeholders, the position contributes to timely recovery, positive return to work outcomes, and a safe, respectful employee experience.

What you'll be doing (Key accountabilities)

  • Maintain accurate, timely injury and workers' compensation records, ensuring documentation is complete, clearly communicated, and submitted within required timeframes.
  • Liaise with insurers, regulators, and providers in a respectful and coordinated manner to support positive claim outcomes and minimise delays.
  • Support return to work processes by coordinating suitable duties plans and documentation that reflect medical advice and the worker's capacity, choice, and dignity.
  • Communicate with employees and managers using clear, empathetic, and trauma-informed language that promotes trust, psychological safety, and understanding.
  • Apply confidentiality and privacy principles consistently, recognising the sensitive nature of injury and recovery experiences.
  • Monitor claim progress and identify barriers to recovery early, escalating concerns to support timely and supportive intervention.
  • Maintain high-quality data and prepare reports that inform safe, supportive, and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Provide organised administrative support while ensuring interactions are respectful, non-judgemental, and responsive to individual needs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify processes and enhance worker experience and wellbeing.

Your Background (Skills and attributes)

  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, Personal Injury Management, or similar.
  • Training in trauma-informed practice or psychological first aid.
  • Experience with workers' compensation or injury management systems
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, managing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Clear, empathetic communication with a trauma-informed, person-centred approach.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Sound understanding of injury management and workers' compensation processes (or ability to learn quickly).
  • Effective stakeholder engagement skills across employees, managers, and external providers.
  • Proactive problem-solving with the ability to identify and escalate risks early.
  • Competence in data systems and Microsoft Office, with accurate reporting capability.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and a positive, supportive HSW culture.

Requirements

  • A current NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Check.
  • The ability and relevant driver's license to perform travel
  • Compliance with OHS&W regulations, legislation, and Policies and Procedures is required.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment safety screening checks, mandatory training, and their subsequent renewals is necessary.

  • Report hazards, near misses and incidents in accordance with the agreed incident reporting system.
