The Mparntwe Alice Springs Community Foundation (MASCF) is the Northern Territory's first community foundation, established to build a stronger community with a shared future.
Our focus is on community-building initiatives that change the narrative of our town, celebrate what is good and strong here, and inspire people to step forward and contribute.
Our three-pronged strategy brings this to life through:
We believe Alice Springs has extraordinary strengths, generosity, capability and leadership. Our role is to help connect these assets, support local initiative, and create the conditions for more good things to happen.
As the Foundation continues to grow, we are looking for someone who wants to grow with it.
This is a significant and varied role sitting at the heart of a small, ambitious and fast-moving organisation.
You will help drive community philanthropy, support local action, coordinate key Foundation initiatives, manage important operational systems and help ensure that ideas become reality.
The role combines relationship-building, communications, administration, philanthropy, fundraising, project coordination and organisational operations.
Some days you might be meeting with donors, community members or local organisations. Other days you might be processing grant payments, updating the CRM, organising an event, preparing communications, or ensuring important details don't fall through the cracks.
Success in this role requires both initiative and discipline.
You will be encouraged to think creatively, identify opportunities and take responsibility. Equally important is the ability to manage details, follow through on commitments and keep systems running smoothly.
This is not a role for someone looking for a quiet, highly structured environment. It suits someone who enjoys variety, can work at pace, and finds satisfaction in helping things happen.

This is a high-trust, high-responsibility role in a very small team. We are looking for someone who thrives on ownership, enjoys working at pace, and is motivated by seeing tangible impact in their community.
You'll work closely with an energetic Executive Director who generates more ideas than any one person could possibly implement. A key part of your role will be helping identify the best opportunities and turning them into practical action.
You'll gain exposure to community philanthropy, fundraising, communications, grant-making, community-building, donor engagement and organisational development.
You'll be trusted with real responsibility and encouraged to grow quickly.
For the right person, this role offers an unusual opportunity to build skills, relationships and experience across multiple areas while contributing to something meaningful for Alice Springs.
More than any particular qualification, we're looking for someone who loves Alice Springs and wants to contribute to its future.
We are looking for a builder.
Someone who sees what needs doing and gets on with it. Someone who enjoys helping ideas become reality, takes responsibility, follows through on commitments and maintains momentum when challenges arise.
This role suits a resilient, thoughtful, practical person who combines initiative and energy with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
You are likely to be someone who:
Experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded:
We are less interested in perfect qualifications than in demonstrated initiative, reliability, follow-through and a willingness to learn.
