Shift Supervisor - Children's Contact ACT

Marymead CatholicCare Canberra & Goulburn

The Role

The Children’s Contact Program provides supervised contact visits and facilitated changeovers for families experiencing high-conflict separation, as directed by the Family Law Courts. The program also supports children living in foster care or kinship care who are subject to child protection orders by facilitating safe and supported contact with their families.

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting Family Workers during allocated shifts to ensure the safe, effective and consistent delivery of services. The role provides operational oversight, guidance and support to staff, while ensuring the wellbeing of children and families participating in the program.

The Shift Supervisor coordinates communication with key stakeholders, including families, legal representatives and child protection agencies, and assists the Team Leader with the day-to-day operations of the program. This includes managing shift activities, addressing operational issues as they arise, supporting staff, and contributing to the delivery of a high-quality, child-focused service that aligns with organisational policies and legislative requirements.

The successful applicant will be available to work Tuesday to Friday, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, with the flexibility to adjust working hours on occasion to meet the operational needs of the program.
