To assist women living in Sydney Local Health District experiencing the effects of domestic and family violence, childhood trauma and social and financial disadvantage to process trauma, make informed choices and improve practical aspects of their lives.
To assist women partners of men who have sex with men (MSM) living in NSW through counselling support and increasing their awareness regarding risks for sexually transmitted infections including HIV, and strategies to negotiate safe sex.
This is achieved through the provision of evidence-based counselling strategies delivered from a wholistic, strength-based and solution focussed approach that recognises the social, environmental, physical, economic, and cultural factors that influence women’s lives, and through collaborative approaches with the LWCHC medical and other staff.
